Ganita Prakash is the new NCF-SE Class 8 mathematics textbook from NCERT (July 2025, NEP 2020 series), replacing the old Mathematics book. It comes in two parts of 7 chapters each — Part I builds on numbers and algebra (squares and cubes, exponents, number systems, quadrilaterals, number play, the distributive law, proportional reasoning), and Part II extends into percentages, the Baudhayana–Pythagoras theorem, fractals and 3D geometry, data visualisation, algebra play and area.
The book is built on stories, puzzles, patterns and real-life situations rather than formula-drilling — chapters like A Story of Numbers trace number systems from the Egyptians to the decimal system, The Baudhayana–Pythagoras Theorem honours the ancient Indian mathematician's contribution alongside Pythagoras, and Exploring Some Geometric Themes introduces fractals like the Sierpinski carpet. Every chapter asks children to observe, justify and explain — not just compute.

Ji haan — Ganita Prakash NCERT ki nayi NCF-SE series (NEP 2020) ki Class 8 Maths kitab hai, July 2025 mein launch hui. Purani Mathematics book ab current syllabus ka hissa nahi.
Ganita Prakash mein kitne chapters hain — 12 ya 14?
Kul 14 chapters, 2 parts mein: Part I (7 chapters — A Square and A Cube se Proportional Reasoning–1 tak) aur Part II (7 chapters — Fractions in Disguise se Area tak). Dono parts mil kar poora syllabus banta hai.
