Psychology is the single-volume NCERT textbook for Class 12 (rationalized, 2026-27), with 7 chapters: psychological attributes, self and personality, life challenges, psychological disorders, therapeutic approaches, attitudes and social influence. The theory paper is 70 marks, plus 30 for practical work.
The rationalized edition deleted the old chapters 8 and 9 ('Psychology and Life', 'Developing Psychological Skills') — the book now ends at Social Influence and Group Processes. Definitions and key terms (in bold in the book) are directly asked; underlining them while reading is the oldest topper trick in this subject.
