Is kitab ke baare mein
Flamingo is the Class 12 English core reader from NCERT's NCF-2005 series, and it remains the prescribed main textbook for the 2026-27 session. Its 13 chapters split into 8 prose pieces and 5 poems, taking students from Alphonse Daudet's The Last Lesson — a classroom farewell under occupation — to Adrienne Rich's Aunt Jennifer's Tigers, a quiet anthem of women's creative defiance.
The rationalized edition keeps the book's spine intact: Lost Spring on child labour, Deep Water on conquering fear, The Rattrap on human kindness, Indigo on Gandhi's Champaran movement, Poets and Pancakes on life inside a film studio, The Interview on the art of the interview, and Going Places on adolescent dreams. The five poems — from Kamala Das, Pablo Neruda, John Keats, Robert Frost and Adrienne Rich — carry the imagery and figure-of-speech work the board paper loves to test.

Ustad ka mashwara
Flamingo ke prose chapters ko sirf summary ratwa kar mat parhayein — har chapter ka ek central theme board paper mein value-based question ban kar aata hai. Poems mein imagery aur figures of speech (simile, metaphor, personification) line-by-line nikalwayein; 'A Thing of Beauty' aur 'Keeping Quiet' se har saal short questions aate hain.
