Is kitab ke baare mein

Kaleidoscope is the NCERT anthology for Class 12 English Elective — a tour of world literature in one volume. Its 21 pieces span five short stories (from Gabriel Garcia Marquez to Bi Shu-min), eight poems (Donne to Kamala Das), six non-fiction essays (Shaw, Woolf, Bergman, Lawrence, Amartya Sen, Asimov) and two plays (Tagore's Chandalika and Karnad's Broken Images).

Note for elective students: the CBSE elective paper prescribes 16 of these 21 pieces — 3 stories, 7 poems, 5 non-fiction essays and 1 play (Chandalika) — plus a novel of choice. The book itself, in its 2026-27 reprint, still carries all 21 pieces, so this page lists the complete book contents.
