Themes in Indian History Part III covers modern India (rationalized, 2026-27) in 4 themes: colonialism and the countryside, the revolt of 1857, Gandhi and the nationalist movement, and the framing of the Constitution. The old themes on Colonial Cities and Understanding Partition are deleted.
This is the most loved — and most asked — part of the book. Gandhi alone can fill an entire long-answer section, and the Constitution theme connects directly to political science.
