Accountancy Part I is the first NCERT volume for Class 12 accountancy (2026-27), covering partnership and not-for-profit accounting in 5 chapters: Accounting for Not-for-Profit Organisation, Partnership basics, Reconstitution on admission, Reconstitution on retirement or death, and Dissolution of the firm.
Partnership accounts are the single biggest block of the board paper — about 25 of the 80 theory marks. Every chapter here is format-strict: journal entries, ledger accounts and balance sheets must follow the exact NCERT proformas, because presentation itself carries marks.
