Is kitab ke baare mein
This is the Single National Curriculum 2022-based History textbook (marked Experimental Edition) — five chapters that carry the story from the arrival of the East India Company to present-day Pakistan. Chapter 1, Arrival of the British in the Subcontinent, is the most detailed: the Battles of Plassey and Buxar, Mir Jafar's role, Haider Ali's victories over the British at Madras, Tipu Sultan's reign, the part played by the Marathas and Nizams, the Mughal Court's Farman, Lord Dalhousie's Doctrine of Lapse (1852) and the War of Independence of 1857, ending with Queen Victoria's Proclamation of 1858. Each chapter opens with Students' Learning Outcomes — both knowledge goals (describe, explain, identify) and skills (build timelines, use organograms, compare and contrast).
The remaining chapters move briskly: Reform Movements in the Subcontinent, World Wars I and II, Political Awakening in the Subcontinent, and finally Pakistan a New Country: 1947 till Today — the longest chapter, spanning from page 74 to the end of the book. The narrative deliberately links past to present; chapter 1 even asks students to compare the Mughals' situation when granting the Farman with situations developing countries face today, so the book rewards understanding over rote memorization.

Ustad ka mashwara
Is kitab mein dates rattana kaam nahi dega — timeline banao. Har chapter ki shuruaat mein Students' Learning Outcomes diye hain; unhi ko apna revision checklist banao. Chapter 1 mein Plassey vs Buxar ka compare-contrast table board par banwao (causes, key figures, results) — paper mein lazmi aata hai. Chapter 5 sab se lamba hai (page 74 se aakhir tak), isay era-wise tor kar parhao. Aur Doctrine of Lapse aur 1857 ki Jang-e-Azadi par 'reasons and effects' wale sawalat pehle se tayyar karwa lo.

Aksar pooche gaye sawalat
Is this the SNC 2022 syllabus history book?
Yes — the title page states it is based on the Single National Curriculum 2022 and approved by the Board. It replaces the older Pakistan Studies-style history content for Class 8 with a dedicated, narrative history course.
Which chapter is the longest?
Chapter 5, Pakistan a New Country: 1947 till Today, is the longest — it runs from page 74 to the end of the 96-page book. Give it the most revision time, and split it by eras (early years, constitutional developments, recent decades) rather than trying to revise it in one sitting.
How should students prepare the many dates and battles?
Draw a timeline for every chapter. Chapter 1's skills section explicitly asks for a timeline covering the Battles of Plassey and Buxar, Tipu Sultan's death and the War of Independence — if you can place 1757, 1764, 1799, 1852, 1857 and 1858 in order with one-line causes and results each, most long questions take care of themselves. The other high-yield pair is Plassey vs Buxar: causes, key figures and consequences, side by side.
Chapters 1, 2 and 4 seem connected — how should I revise them together?
They overlap, so don't revise them in isolation. Read chapter 1 (British arrival) first, then chapter 4 (Political Awakening) as its direct continuation — the War of Independence of 1857 is the bridge between them. Reform Movements (chapter 2) explains the social background behind the political story, so keep a one-page note linking each reformer to the political events of chapter 4.
