Islamiyat V is the Sindh Textbook Board's Class 5 Islamiat textbook in English medium, approved by the Sindh Education and Literacy Department. Its five chapters take the child from the Quran itself to the life of the Prophet ﷺ, then to worship, character and the great personalities of Islam.
Chapter 1 (Al-Quran-Al-Kareem) covers Nazira recitation, Hifz-ul-Quran and translation of selected portions. Chapter 2 (Beliefs and Worship) explains the world as a field for the Hereafter, obedience to the Nabi Karim ﷺ, the importance of his Sunnah, Friday and the Eids, and the significance of Saum. Chapter 3 (Seerat-e-Tayyaba) walks through Muwakhat, the construction of Masjid-e-Nabawi, the Charter of Madinah, and the battles of Badr, Uhud and Khandaq.
Chapter 4 (Morals and Manners) teaches fulfilment of promise, forgiveness, tolerance, mercy, frugality, Islamic brotherhood and the manners of recitation. Chapter 5 (Bearers of Guidance) introduces Hazrat Isa عليه السلام, Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه and Hazrat Khalid bin Walid رضي الله عنه, and the book closes with a glossary. Every topic carries learning outcomes, and the Nazra section alone counts for 40 of the 100 Islamiat marks.

How important is the Nazra Quran section?
Very — the book's teacher instructions state 40 of the 100 Islamiat marks are allocated to the Nazra section, and success in Nazra Quran is compulsory for passing Islamiat.
