The Pre-I Mathematics Primer by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board builds early number sense through 105 small, playful activities. It starts before numbers — trace and colour, red/blue/yellow, big and small, thick and thin, long and short — then walks children from Number "1" all the way to Number "50", with shapes, patterns, measurement and revision stops along the way.
The last quarter of the book introduces the first real math ideas: friends of 10, odd and even numbers, what comes before/after/between, addition ("add one more"), subtraction ("take one away"), money, left and right, ordinal numbers, telling the time, word problems and a calendar page. Every activity is picture-based, so children learn by seeing and doing, not by memorizing.
