Is kitab ke baare mein
Santoor is the new NCF-SE English textbook for Class 5, launched by NCERT in July 2025 as part of the NEP 2020 series. It replaces the old Marigold book with fresh stories and poems built around Indian life — from the village game of Gilli Danda and the folk wisdom of The Wise Parrot to everyday scenes like Papa’s Spectacles and Glass Bangles.
The book mixes prose and poetry across its 10 chapters: poems like The Rainbow and The Frog build rhythm and imagination, while stories like The Decision of the Panchayat and Vocation introduce children to community life, fairness and the dignity of work. Each chapter carries NCERT’s activity-based exercises — speaking, writing and thinking tasks rather than rote questions.

Ji haan — Santoor NCERT ki nayi NCF-SE series (NEP 2020) ki Class 5 English kitab hai, jo July 2025 mein launch hui. Purani Marigold ab current syllabus ka hissa nahi; schools ab Santoor parhate hain.
