Fundamentals of Physical Geography is the first half of Class 11 Geography — physical (natural) geography of the world. Fourteen chapters in six units: Geography as a Discipline, the origin and interior of the earth, distribution of oceans and continents, geomorphic processes and landforms, the atmosphere (composition, solar radiation, circulation, water, climate), the oceans (water, movements), and Biodiversity and Conservation.
Diagrams are the soul of this book — the earth's interior, atmospheric circulation, ocean currents. Pair it with India: Physical Environment (the second half, on India's own physical geography) and Practical Work in Geography Part I.
