This is the Sindh Textbook Board's Arabic reader for Class 7 (Urdu medium, 2025 edition). The book holds 25 lessons (الدروس) plus a vocabulary section (اللغات) at the end. Every lesson opens with learning outcomes (حاصلاتِ تعلم) stated in Urdu and Sindhi, then the Arabic text printed with full vowel marks (حرکات), a new-words box (کلمات جدیدہ), and exercises (تدریبات) — so a student who has never read Arabic before can still follow along.
The journey starts gently with الربيع (Spring) and حديقة الحيوانات (The Zoo), then builds through الوقت ثمين (Time is Precious) and الاحسان (Kindness) into Islamic history with غزوة بدر (The Battle of Badr). Pakistan gets its own corner: المسجد الملكي بلاهور (The Royal Mosque of Lahore), نهر السند (The River Indus) and بلوچستان: ارض المعادن (Balochistan: Land of Minerals). Great personalities appear too — جمال الدين الافغاني, القائد الاعظم محمد علي جناح, الامام البوصيري and الامام الغزالي.
Two lessons are written as حوار (dialogue) for speaking practice — الطبيب والمريض (The Doctor and the Patient) and الطالب ومدير المكتبة (The Student and the Librarian) — plus a leave-application lesson (الطلب الى مدير المدرسة للاجازة), one poem (نظم): الشاب المسلم, and one story (حكاية): اغاثة الملهوف. The book closes with اللغات, a collected word-list from all lessons.

Har lesson ke نئے الفاظ (کلمات جدیدہ) copy par 5 martaba likhwaein — Arabic ki reading حرکات dekh kar hoti hai, is liye pehle ustad khud buland awaz mein parhe, phir bachay dohrayein. حوار wale lessons (23–24) mein do bachon ko doctor-mareez bana kar class mein act karwaein — bolna hi asal seekhna hai.

Is this book in Arabic or Urdu?
The lessons themselves are in Arabic, printed with full vowel marks so beginners can read them. But the learning outcomes, instructions and guidance boxes are in Urdu (with some Sindhi) — that is why STBB lists it as an Urdu-medium book.
Does the book include a poem?
Yes. Lesson 7, الشاب المسلم, is a نظم (poem), and lesson 18, اغاثة الملهوف, is a حكاية (story) — both marked in the contents.
Which lessons practice speaking?
Lessons 23 and 24 — الطبيب والمريض (The Doctor and the Patient) and الطالب ومدير المكتبة (The Student and the Librarian) — are حوار (dialogues) written for spoken practice in pairs.
Is there a vocabulary section?
