Developed by the Sindh Textbook Board under the Revised Sindh Curriculum for English Language (Grades K–VIII, 2023–24), English Book I teaches the four language competencies — oral communication, reading, writing, and grammar & vocabulary — in one integrated, student-centred flow. Every unit opens with its Students' Learning Outcomes (SLOs), then unfolds as teaching content, hands-on activities, and a 'Note for Teacher'.
Six units carry the child from Unit 1's alphabet sounds, letter introduction and tracing, through Unit 2 (Things Around Me: greetings, vowels, consonant digraphs and naming words), Unit 3 (Family and Friends), Unit 4 (Daily Actions, including numbers in words), and Unit 5 (Modes of Transport and Traffic Rules), to Unit 6's Love for Pakistan.
A modern touch for a Class 1 book: QR codes in the front matter link to audio-visuals for correct English articulation, the alphabet, letter sounds and tracing practice — so the right pronunciation gets fixed from day one.
