Our Wondrous World is the new NCF-SE Class 3 EVS textbook from NCERT (2024, NEP 2020 series), replacing the old Looking Around. Its 12 chapters are grouped into 4 units — Our Families and Communities, Life Around Us, Gifts of Nature and Things Around Us — taking children from family and festivals to plants, water, food and waste.
Chapters like 'Going to the Mela', 'Getting to Know Plants' and 'Taking Charge of Waste' connect observation with action. Activities push children to notice their own surroundings — their family, their plants, their water — and ask questions about how things work.
