Mridang for Class 2 is the second-year volume of NCERT's new NCF-SE English series (NEP 2020, first edition May 2023; current reprint 2026-27) — same instrument-name, same playful series as Class 1. Its 13 chapters are grouped in 5 units: Fun With Friends, Welcome To My World, Going Places, Life Around Us and Harmony.
Stories like The Smart Monkey and The Crow build comprehension, poems like Little Drops of Water build rhythm, and picture-reading chapters build observation. The book moves children from speaking and listening toward simple reading and writing, still through play.

Ji haan — Mridang NCERT ki nayi NCF-SE series (NEP 2020) ki Class 2 English kitab hai, Class 1 wali Mridang ka agla hissa. Purani Marigold/Raindrops ab current syllabus ka hissa nahi.
