Science is NCERT's Class 10 science textbook in the 2022-rationalized edition, current for 2026-27. Its 13 chapters cover chemistry (Chemical Reactions, Acids Bases and Salts, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon and its Compounds), life sciences (Life Processes, Control and Coordination, How do Organisms Reproduce?, Heredity) and physics (Light, Human Eye, Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current), closing with Our Environment.
Note the exact current title of Chapter 8: 'Heredity' — the older 'Heredity and Evolution' is the pre-rationalization name. Deleted chapters include Periodic Classification of Elements, Sources of Energy and Management of Natural Resources.
