This is the official Balochistan Textbook Board Mathematics textbook for Grade 9 (English), authored by Prof. Muhammad Asif Bhatti and Prof. Muhammad Naeem Baloch (editor Ashfaq Hussain; New College Publication, Quetta), based on the National Curriculum 2022-23. Eleven units run from real numbers and logarithms, through sets and functions, factorization, linear equations and inequalities, to trigonometry and bearing, coordinate geometry, straight lines, mathematical logic and polygons, practical geometry of triangles, and basic statistics and probability.
Every unit opens with coded Student's Learning Outcomes (e.g. B-20 to B-27 for trigonometry: Pythagoras' theorem, trigonometric identities, three-figure bearings) and real-life problems — like finding the height of a post from the angle of elevation. Answers and a glossary (page 270) close the book, making it fully usable for self-study and board exam preparation.
