This is the official Balochistan Textbook Board Computer Science textbook for Grade 9 (English), based on the National Curriculum of Pakistan 2022-23. Nine units across seven domains take students from computer systems, software and networks, through computational thinking and algorithms, to web designing, data and analysis, applications of computer science, impacts of computing, and entrepreneurship in the digital age.
Unit 5 (page 89) is the hands-on heart of the book: students develop, test and debug static websites using HTML and CSS and dynamic websites using JavaScript — distinguishing front end from back end, building arrays and loops in JavaScript, and setting breakpoints to debug code. Earlier units cover CPU architecture, Von Neumann architecture, memory hierarchy and networking; later units cover data analysis, the societal impacts of computing and digital-age entrepreneurship. A glossary (page 207) closes the book.
