This is the official Balochistan Textbook Board Geography textbook for Grade 8 (English Medium), approved under the National Curriculum 2022-23. Six units take students from the physical world to the human one: oceans and seas, living with the climate, environmental pollution, industrialization and international trade, transport and its importance, and social and economic development.
Every unit opens with a Students' Learning Outcomes box — students learn to differentiate seas from oceans, identify ocean currents and marine threats, recall the causes and consequences of climate change, explain pollution's link to global warming, list Pakistan's major industries and export goods, outline the role of transport (including CPEC and the Silk Route), and compare Economic Development Indicators (EDI) with the Human Development Index (HDI). The unit on industrialization even examines Pakistan-China bilateral trade.
