Computer Education for Class VIII is the Sindh Textbook Board's new-curriculum (2023-24) computing textbook — and it reads like a book from the future. Unit 1 (ICT Fundamental) introduces emerging technologies head-on: the Internet of Things, embedded systems, edge computing, 5G, artificial intelligence, robotics, distributed applications, blockchain, 3D and holographic imaging, and virtual reality — alongside computer networks, routers, switches, and firewall security.

The book closes with two life-ready units: Digital Citizenship (safe internet use, cybercrime, copyright, plagiarism, and piracy) and Entrepreneurship — business plans, market research, digital marketing, and costing, worked through a delightful 'fun cupcake' business example that even mentions selling on Daraz, Amazon, YouTube, and Instagram. Every chapter opens with Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), activities, and quick tips.
