This is the official Chemistry textbook for Class XII (Intermediate) published by the Sindh Textbook Board, Jamshoro, for the 2023-24 session, in English medium. It opens with the Chemistry of Representative Elements — s-block and p-block chemistry, flame tests, and sulphuric acid — then moves into d-block transition elements and coordination compounds.

The heart of the book is organic chemistry across six full chapters: from the sources and characteristics of organic compounds, through IUPAC nomenclature, hydrocarbons, alkyl halides and amines, alcohols-phenols-ethers, to two chapters on carbonyl compounds. It closes with applied units students find most relatable — Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Spectroscopy — plus four appendices.

Each chapter header prints its teaching periods, assessment count and board-paper weightage, so the book itself tells you where the marks lie; every unit ends with solved examples and exercise questions in the board pattern.
