English XI is the STBB Class 11 English textbook, organised in three sections. Section-A (Prose) has ten units — Democratic Citizenship, Preservation of Nature, Managing Change, Technology Smart & Tech-Savvy, Civic Sense, Respecting Self & Others, Self-Grooming, Places of Historical/Cultural Importance, Choosing Career, and Positive Work Ethics — each unit built the same way: a reading text (from 'Quaid on 11th August, 1947' and 'The Necklace' to 'My Bank Account' and 'Pearls of Wisdom'), then writing, oral communication and grammar.
Section-B (Poetry) opens with the Elements of Poetry and seven poems — 'The Character of a Happy Life', 'Don't Quit', 'Ozymandias', 'Good Timber', 'Lucy Gray', 'The Abbot of Canterbury' and 'Surr Khahori'. Section-C is the complete play 'A Visit to a Small Planet' (three scenes) plus biographies.
The grammar spine is practical: essay writing, precis, business letters, resumes and covering letters, job interviews, report writing — the writing skills of Units 4, 5, 7 and 9 are the ones students will actually use after the exam.

How is English XI organised?
