Poorvi is the new NCF-SE Class 7 English textbook from NCERT (NEP 2020 series), launched July 2025, replacing the old Honeycomb and An Alien Hand. Like its Class 6 namesake it runs in 5 thematic units — Learning Together, Wit and Humour, Dreams and Discoveries, Travel and Adventure, and Bravehearts — with 15 chapters of stories and poems.
The units grow with the reader: from The Day the River Spoke and Try Again, through the humour of A Funny Man and the wonder of Paper Boats and The Tunnel, to the closing Bravehearts unit honouring soldiers and Rani Abbakka. Every chapter carries NCERT's activity-based exercises on speaking, writing and thinking.
