Is kitab ke baare mein
This is the general-stream mathematics textbook for Class 9 — written for students who need the maths they will actually use in life. It opens with Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, then moves to Zakat, Ushr and Inheritance: working out who gets what share of a taraka and how much zakat is due on savings. Business Mathematics covers profit, loss, banking and trade; Financial Mathematics takes up insurance, markup and financing; and Consumer Mathematics deals with taxes, utility bills and personal income — the numbers on a real electricity bill.
The second half builds number sense for daily problem-solving: Exponents and Logarithms (with log tables at the back of the book), Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences, Sets and Functions, Linear Graphs, and Basic Statistics — frequency tables, mean, median, mode and measures of dispersion. Note the difference from the science-stream Math (2025-26): this book stays with applied arithmetic and data rather than trigonometry and coordinate geometry. It closes with Answers, a Glossary, an Index, and Logarithm and Anti-Logarithm tables.

Statistics mein mean, median aur mode ka farq aik hi data set par teenon nikal kar dikhao — ratta nahi, farq samajh aayega.

General Math aur science wali Math mein kya farq hai?
General Math general (arts) group ke liye hai: is mein rozmarra ki applied maths hai — zakat, karobari hisab, consumer maths aur statistics. Science wali Math (2025-26) science group ke liye hai: algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry aur probability ka track jo Class 10 aur FSc ki taraf le jata hai.
Kya is book mein trigonometry hai?
Nahi. Trigonometry science-stream Math ki book ke Unit 6 (page 97) mein hai. General Math mein uski jagah Exponents and Logarithms (Unit 6, page 135) parhaya jata hai.
Book ke aakhir mein log tables kis kaam aati hain?
Logarithms (page 316) aur Anti Logarithms (page 318) ki tables Unit 6 ke sawalon mein istemal hoti hain — in se baray numbers ko haath se zarb/taqseem kiye baghair hal kiya jata tha. Paper mein in ka istemal aana chahiye.
Paper ki tayyari ke liye sab se important units kaun se hain?
Board ka pattern har saal thora badalta hai, lekin tajurba ye kehta hai: Percentage/Zakat/Business Mathematics (Units 1–4) lambi aur scoring hain, aur Basic Statistics (Unit 10) ke mean-median-mode wale sawal taqreeban har paper mein aate hain. Inhein mazboot kar lo to aadha paper sanbhal jata hai.
