This is the experimental 2025-26 edition of Class 9 English, rewritten under the revised National Curriculum of Pakistan 2023. It keeps the beloved core — The Saviour of Mankind, Patriotism, Daffodils and Hazrat Asma — but adds seven brand-new units: Women Empowerment through Entrepreneurship, The Value of Time, If by Rudyard Kipling, The Impact of Globalisation on Culture and Economy, Quality Education: A Key to Success, The Silent Predator and the Majestic Prey (Snow Leopard and Markhor), and the one-act play The Dear Departed by Stanley Houghton.
Every unit now opens with explicit Learning Outcomes and a pre-reading activity, and closes with a 'For the Teacher' guidance box. Grammar is integrated per unit — from parts of speech and tenses to anagrams, transitional devices, direct-indirect narration and dialogue writing — with Review 1 and Review 2 consolidating the skills.
