Chemistry Tech 9 EM is the English Medium chemistry textbook for class 9 of the technical stream, based on the Updated/Revised National Curriculum of Pakistan 2023. Its twelve chapters build the subject in logical layers: States of Matter and Phase Changes, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Stoichiometry, Energetics, Equilibria, Acid Base Chemistry, Periodic Table and Periodicity, Group Properties and Elements, Environmental Chemistry, Hydrocarbons — and, distinctively, a final chapter on Laboratory and Practical Skills (p. 117), followed by a glossary (p. 124). Chapter 1 alone maps the whole discipline for the student, from physical and organic chemistry to astrochemistry, medicinal chemistry and geochemistry.

The tech-stream signature is the lab ending: instead of finishing on theory, the book closes with practical skills — exactly what a technician needs. Environmental Chemistry and Hydrocarbons tilt the syllabus toward real-world applications (pollution, fuels, materials), while stoichiometry, energetics and equilibria give the quantitative backbone. This edition serves English-medium technical schools; the Urdu Medium edition (Chemistry Tecch 9 UM) teaches the same twelve chapters in Urdu.
