This is the official Mathematics textbook for Grade 3 by the Balochistan Textbook Board, Quetta, written under the National Curriculum 2022-23. The book has 7 teaching units plus a glossary. Unit 1 builds whole numbers up to 9999 — counting, place value, comparing, rounding, Roman numerals to 20, and even/odd numbers. Unit 2 covers addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Unit 3 introduces fractions, then the book moves into the real world: measurement of length, mass, capacity and temperature (Unit 4), time (Unit 5), geometry — perimeter, area, polygons, prisms, circles and symmetry (Unit 6) — and data handling with probability (Unit 7).
Every unit opens with Students' Learning Outcomes and uses colourful pictorial activities — counting apples on a tree, a frog with a ruler — so Class 3 children learn maths by seeing and doing, not by rote.

Unit 1 mein place value sab se ahem hai — bachon ko 4-digit numbers (9999 tak) abacus ya number cards se samjhayen, sirf board par likhne se concept nahi banta. Unit 4 (Measurement) mein asal cheezon se napwayen: scale se kitab, tarazu se aalu, glass se pani — yahi practical SLOs ka maqsad hai. Fractions (Unit 3) roti ya apple ke tukron se samjhayen, phir kitab kholen.
